Our wildlife trail covers approximately 1.5 kilometers and this is leisurely 60-minute nature walk with our inhouse Naturalist will delight you with an abundance of exotic creatures such as the crimson rose butterfly, brahminy kite, grey squirrel etc. ,Early morning is the best time to catch a glimpse of some of the wildlife and 50-plus species of endemic and migratory birds that inhabit the neighbourhood. On a lush trail through provincial paddy fields,small jungles you will settle upon the banks of the Dambulu Oya – which is not only a hotspot for migratory birds in winter seasons, but also some of Sri Lanka’s iconic species including the common kingfisher, peacocks, egrets, brahminy kites and purple coots to name a few. Rarer birds such as the fish owl, green pigeon and hornbill, above their wild cohabitants such grey langur and toque macaque who have also made this habitat their home.
At the end you can return for breakfast inspired by the nature as well as getting some exercise to your body.
